This is basically the list of features that Dan Wheadon would
like to implement
- Have the framework automatically generate unique ids for
the pages (detached from directory hierarchy) which can be used to
link to a page regardless of where it is in the hierarchy. This will
allow you to move pages around without breaking all your links to
that page.
- Add some Javascript to open images in their own pop-up
winodw (without navigating away from the current page)
- Add other Javascript stuff
- Collapsable sections
- Scrolling highlights (with pictures)
- Have webgeno take command line parameters for the source,
breakdown and transform files
- Add support for custom google searches and
show_search_results element
- For news elements, need a short description (for recent
news) and a long description (for show_all_news)
- Feature to export the entire site as a single page for
easy download / offline reference
- Page-specific news / highlights to override the global
ones
- CSS distinctions for the site menu if you're currently
viewing one of the pages in the index
- Allow pages to have their own CSS overrides (in case
certain sub-pages need a different style to set them apart)
- Add unique id's to images to allow more control over
individual placement
- auto-generated "subsitemap" element to show all sites
below this one (the reverse of a breadcrumb): to be used in a
javascript menu for example
- Ordering of the site index: lexical ordering isn't
enough
- Ability to exclude a "hidden" page from the
sitemap
